Here a little glimpse of my husband's rock-star moment! He's 15 minutes of fame! He got to meet Joe Namath and be on TV! During the half-time show they took them out onto the field and introduced them. We had several friends at the game, who got to see him it in person, and many, many more that called us all day telling us that they saw him on TV.

He said after the game, they went and took pictures down on the field with everyone. Then they went and hung out and party with all the fans afterward. He said they were treated like "rock stars", people asking for autographs and wanted to take pictures with them everywhere they went that night. They didn't have to buy one drink that day to say the least.

He also said that he got many moms coming up to them, asking if they were available! I told him to enjoy his moment of fame, because he as to come back to reality with a wife and child soon enough!

They video is crappy because I recorded from my TV to my phone, so I could send it to Ben to see. Pilots names: Lt. Col Allen(Kegger), Capt. Smith(Cuffs), Capt. Walters(Shank), and Lt. Boman(Jbo).

Daddy loves me!

Daddy took some pictures of Lil B in action! She enjoys laying out her blanket and placing all sorts of things on it! Balls, balloons, babies, purse, money . . .everywhere her little heart desire's!

Liz's 40th!

Liz is our Director for our local MOPS group, and she is turning 40 tomorrow! There is another Steering Team member, Heather Garner, who also is into making cakes!
So on the spur of a moment, Heather and I volunteered to make Liz her 40th Birthday Cake! This years MOPS theme, is based on a book, Life on Planet Mom by Lisa Bergren, and on short notice, we decided to go with a "planet" theme.
Heather and I both agree to not go "too over-board" on themes and to make cakes simple as possible, so here is what we came up with:

Happy 40th Birthday Liz!(you don't look a day over 32!!!)
and thanks Heather for coming over and helping me create a masterpiece in 3 hours!!!!

Where does it come from?

{her attitude that is}
Lil B has really been showing us her attitude lately. Since starting Ballet/Dance Class she has been super "posey". If I tell her I want to take a picture of her, she poses, stops, and then ask to "see" the picture. I guess to make sure it is up to her liking!
These are some photos of her Daddy and I trying to get pictures of her:

(really? what is this?)

(this was a "NOoooo I don't want to take picture!" look!)

(Her being simply beautiful.)

(She was done and wanted to go outside...)

Something yummy to try...

Yoplait has come out with some yummy new flavors, and I not being one for yogurt, was pleasantly surprised when I came across these TWO flavors I think you might want to try:

Original Blackberry Pomegranate and Cranberry Raspberry!

Thought I would share!

This is a sad story, so it you don't want to read sad, I suggest you stop reading now.

I can't really remember a time when we didn't have a family dog, but I really 'grew' up with two that I have the fondest memories with...Jessie and Haley.

I was around 12 when we got Jessie and then a year later, she gave birth to a liter of puppies, and I "rescued" Haley. Which just means I saved her from being sold! I just wanted to save ONE!

Jessie and Haley are my parents 'baby's' now that their children have grown and moved out of their home(we still need you guys though!).

In a tragic and sudden moment 4 weeks ago, Haley had a heart attack and passed away.

Enter present time, since Haley's death my parents{huge dog lovers}, adopted a new puppy who is 5 months old, Bella! I was looking at pictures of Bella that my mom had sent me, and Blakely happen to glance at them and said, "I see, momma."

So, I explain to her that Papa and Yaya got a new puppy and her name was Bella! (knowing that I didn't really know how to explain death to a 2 1/2 year old, I just never really said anything about Haley's passing)

Since the first pictures of Bella, Blakely has talked about Bella, and my mom has continued to send us pictures of her.

Yesterday we received a new set of pictures of Bella! As we were looking at them, we got to the last one and Jessie was in one of the pictures. Here's how the conversation went:

Lil B:
"That's Hay-a and Bella?"
"No baby, that's Jessie with Bella."
Lil B:
"Ooooo, Jessie, Hay-y, and Bella."
"No baby, Haley is no longer with us, she passed away."(o-m-g, how am i going to explain this?)
Lil B:
"Pass away?"
"Yes baby, she passed away, she went to Heaven. She's with God now."
Lil B:
"Oooo, she with Gawd. Hay-a pass away."
"Yes baby."

This back and forth conversation continued on with her looking me straight in my eyes, I could practical see her head turning, trying to comprehend what I was telling her.

I was getting teary eyed, watching my beautiful blue-eyed baby girl try and figure out why Haley was gone, as she repeated, "Hay-a pass away, she with Gawd".

Just then we heard the garage door open and she looks at me and says, "Daddy Home! I-I-I-I tell him bout' Hay-a".

She runs to the door and says in this happy exuberant voice, "Daddy! Hay-a pass away! Sh-sh-sh-she with Gawd!" Like it was the best news that she has heard today!

Yes baby girl, you are right, you should be happy...this was my moment when I realized that her sweet nature, sweet innocents, was absolutely RIGHT!

I like to bring something FUN and handmade to baby showers that I am invited too! Recently I have been invited to a slew of baby showers, so I have have kept myself busy making all sorts of cute goodies for the little ones! I like to check out there bedding/room decor' and go from there, to try and match everything I make to it!

These little creations where made for a little momma, who is finally having the little girl she has been hoping for(first to babies where boys)! Ava Reese! Cute name, huh?

Ofcourse, I made her one of my Frames! I also made her a Bow Holder with some cute Flower Bow Clips and one of my favorite Wipe Cases I have ever made(ok, I say that on just about everyone I make..)! Look what's coming!

A friend and I have kind of started a tradition of throwing a Kids Halloween Party(of course parents are invited too), this year we picked out the cutest Halloween invites courtesy of TinyPrints! Love that store! I can't tell you how excited we are! Have planned some really cute games{some new and some old} for the kids, for all ages! We ordered up some special surprises for the winners of the games too! Although all of them will be winners, ofcourse!
Look how cute:

What is everyone doing for Halloween? What are your kids dressing up as? What are YOU dressing up as?

Have a mentioned how much I love Halloween?!?!?!

*My fellow Burgers' be looking for this precious invite in the mail!

1. why can't someone invent a voice recognition app for my phone; so when I lose, misplace, toddler takes it, can't find it in my purse, so I can just say something like: "Phone LOST" and it would respond: "Phone Here, Phone Here, Phone Here", until I find it! Kinda like a pager on a house phone! I just get so irritated trying to find my house phone(that is usually off the hook and dies) to call my phone!

2. Is having a hard time trying to find bedding for Blakely! To the point of where I almost have given up! I want nice 'shabby chic, antique' look and all the places I have looked seemed to look cheap or to the other extreme: TOO PRICEY! I need help!

Ok. . .I'm done! TGIF!

30 months

Or 2 1/2 years olds. however your prefer it. . .

these are the best pictures i could get of our very active toddler!
i have been trying to get some pictures of Lil B lately(once she turned 2 1/2), but all I can manage to get is the back of her head, so I tried the little trick: asking her to show me some of her 'moves' that she is learning for her recital in ballet

This is what I got:

Food for thoughts.

  • i'm an outspoken person, but when the attention becomes completely mine, i get nervous, don't like the feeling and 'clam' up.
  • with the invention of caller ID and texting, I get irritated when people leave me a voice mail, please just text me, i don't listen to my voice mail!
  • i love the 'highlights' section on Facebook, it is like a little gift on christmas eve, getting to peek at peoples live you don't even know, Don't mind if I do!
  • i dislike men or women who 'know it all', but find comfort in their confidence.
  • think it sucks when people complain about the place they are living in and actually have the opinion/choice to move or leave.
  • wishes that at the age of 65(when medicare is forced), that they should also have to take a driving test.
  • gets incredibly nervous if a cop is remotely near me while driving, even if i'm not speeding. you would think i was a drug dealer or something. . .{i'm not}
  • thinks it is extremely tacky when say one thing, but mean another. come on!
  • i think that all people with children under 5 should take naps or have quiet time once a day.
  • more often then not, when someone is telling a story about themselves, i am not listening.
  • can't stand people that talk to their children while on the telephone with someone. classy!
  • Thinks when someone says "K" in texting language, it means "I'm done talking."

love ya!
