{i will also go into my details on later post, but for now, i am stealing pictures from other people because smart me left my USB cord at home and haven't been able to download pictures yet!}

we had another beach portrait session with the lovely and talented Ms. Tiffany with Avant Images.

Then my God Son, Brennan turned 3 and had a Barn Yard Themed Party.

I ofcourse made him a cake{that's it right there, melting in the 100 degree heat.} and ofcourse Blakely was front and center when the birthday boy blew out his candles!

Look how big Blakely is getting, I just love her.

How do you pack your jewelry?

after many years of packing and unpacking{thanks to my vacations to Florida and all the military moves}. . .I have figured it out!

Have you purchased one of these little jewelry cases??? And realized that there was NO WAY you are going to be able to fit all your jewelry in it? Seriously?!?! It couldn't hold even a weekend worth of jewelry and I have to bring a months worth! So, I have figured out the cheapest, easiest, and only way to transport your jewelry without it all tangling up or worse, getting lost!

I place all my necklaces in snack size zip lock baggies individually guaranteeing tangle free necklaces.

Now my earrings and bracelets I use bags or boxes that either came with jewelry I have received/purchased.
.

Now the question is, How do I transport all my glasses I want to bring?!?!? This is an obsession and this isn't even all of them. Maybe in another post I will show you my secret stash of sunglasses. They are kinda like my mood. . .changes in a heart beat! wink wink No really have them for different things I might do. Pool, hanging outside, walks, playing, etc.

Hair Conclusion

*sorry for the failure to post sooner about my hair.* {I know you all are waiting on the edge of you seats. . .}

I have been crazy busy trying to plan our summer month long trip to Florida and it has me a little frazzled!

Here it is people: I am going to to my best with the "Pros" and "Cons" of my experiment.

Pros:
-It was been 100% humid here in Missouri and raining no-stop(on and off) for the last 2 weeks and my hair has NOT been frizzy! At all!
-When I wake up in the morning, it isn't 'as crazy' as it use to be.
-I do not have to use my flat iron has much. Actually barely at all. All I do is dry my hair with my round brush and maybe use the flat iron for pieces around my face.
-It is alot more smoother then my hair has ever been.
-you can still curl your hair if you would like to.

Cons:
-I would never, ever call it "wash and wear hair".(which we all know that was what I was hoping for)
-It is a little flatter then I would like it to be. (but I guess that is kinda the point, huh???)
-The fact that you can't wash your hair for 3 days!
-Or put any type of hair accessory in your hair during those 3 days.
-pricey $$$!

Conclusion, I would recommend this to a friend with unruly hair. I will be doing this again. I would never pay someone $150-$300 dollars to do this to your hair.
I would suggest finding someone that sells the producted online(via Ebay), just make sure that it is the actually Brazilian Blowout product. Grab up a friend who has a few hours to spare and follow the instructions exactly as specified!

If anyone decides to do this, let me know how your experience is with it.

Now wish me luck on packing!

Brazilion Blowout days 2 & half of 3

UPDATE!

Ok, we are in day 3(half of it) and let's just say...I am not leaving the house.

How hair felt on day 2:

-refreshingly smooth/soft
-not as greasy
-flat
-freeze free{and it has been rainy here for several days}
-limp

I will say for the last 2 days when I have woken up in the morning my hair is the straighted it as ever been. I have the CRAZIEST hair(normal) when I wake up. I mean, it stands straight up in my head! It does have a few creases in it from where I roll around and lay on it, but for the most part it is unbelievable straight. I just run my flat iron over the pieces that are creased, which normally is the pieces underneath my hair(the shorter pieces).

How hair feels on day 3:

-EXTREMELY FLAT
-EXTREMELY greasy
-EXTREMELY life-less
-EXTREMELY dirty
-EXTREMELY surprisingly soft!

Again, the true test is for me to wash it(which would be tomorrow around 10ish) and wear it out and see how it dries on it's own. Which it just so happens, I have to take Lil B to a Doctors appointment at 10:30 am tomorrow, so we will see! I really just want to be able to wake up in the morning and my hair look like something hadn't crawled up in it and died! I will always blow dry and straighten my hair, but I just want to be able to "GO" and not worry with my hair on the days that I am in a rush!

This is day 3, look at how sticky{greasy} my hair is.

This is the back and it may not look as bad in the pictures, but it is nasty, flat, and life-less!

Splish Splash

Goodwill Party update!

Remember last week when I asked you if you where up for the challenge??? Well I have finished my project, which took me longer to post then actually do, but that's because it was so beautiful outside last week and weekend. In the Goodwill Party over at Thrifty Decor Chick you are able to go to any of your favorite stores. There is no Goodwill here, so went to my favorite antique store, then hit up the Salvation Army.

Here's what I found:

This is lovely little outdated mirror for $1.50!

With a few essentials and some mistinted paint I picked up for .50 at Lowes(you must look over in the paint section when you are at your local Lowes or Home Depot, they always have some great prices on mis-tinted paint).

A little paint. . .

And there you have it. A new place to put one of my plants! Also, look close I snagged up that little white bird for .50 cent!

I also got the picture on the wall with all the lovely summer fruits for $8(frame and all)! I changed it out with my wine picture that usually hangs there for the spring and summer months.
Now that was what I found for my Goodwill Party! What did you find? Let me know, so I can head over and check it out!!!

Brazilion Blowdry Day One

My hair is in the beginning stage of the process. I can not wash my hair for the next 72 hours. I can not put a hair tie in, no clip, and no bobby pin! Nothing! If it does get wet, I have to go back over the wet part of the hair 5 times with a flat iron at 450 degrees!

Here's how my hair feels as of now:
-flat
-greasy
-smelly
-smooth

It doesn't have much of visual difference besides being extremely flat because it had to be flat ironed in 1 inches sections, 5 times each. This is to help set the product in my hair and make it take the shape. Remember this is suppost to give me "wash and wear" hair. This is a true test!
Sorry Picture was taken by me via my phone. Can't seem to find my camera!
