Ben's First B2 Flight

Two years after moving to Missouri, Ben has finely flown the B2 Stealth Bomber, and I can't describe the joy in his eyes when he got off that plane! It made me want to cry.

When we were in pilot training at Sheppard AFB, the B2 was the first aircraft that he had put on his wishlist. Of course, you all know we ended up with the B52. Which was some of our best times in the Air Force, but that was really not part of Ben's plan. He was determined to try and complete is goal/dream of flying the Stealth, and here we are! It's like watching a movie of someone else's life! He is such a goal oriented person and I am so proud to have him as my husband and inspirational father to our child!

Ok, enough of that! I did get to go up in the tower to get to watch him do a Touch and Go(this is when the practices making landings and then take off with out making a complete stop). Once I got up there I realized how small the tower was, how high it was, and that I was completely surrounded by windows! So after watching him complete one T and G, I had to get out of there! I felt hot, faint, and dizzy! Another appreciation for the people in the control towers! To top it off, Ben got the fly his first time in the Spirit of Florida! How cool is that! You can't just pick a bomber you want to fly, they give them out and tell you what jet you are flying, so when he found out he was flying the Spirit of Florida it was just icing on the cake!

Day at the Park

There's nothing sweeter then watching your child at a park and the joy on their faces, for such a simple act. . .

Art Class!

Blakely is my little crafty girl! So, has soon as I heard a friend of mine from high school was doing art classes here in Florida, I signed Blakely up from a couple sessions. She did really well! The class was about making Circles and the letter 'C', has you can see from the pictures, Blakely liked to draw lines rather then the Circles she was suppose to be doing. She also made a boyfriend while we were there. . .she just kept staring at him. . .
Check out my friends website by clicking here!
She is a very talented artist and has some beautiful art work she sells!

Gulfarium and Beach Baby!

we have been so busy with activities, i think i could sleep for 2 days straight! Blakely has had so much fun with her family and seeing everyone! the past week went to the Gulfarium to see the Dolphins, which wasn't even Blakely's favorite part. She had more fun watching the scuba diving lady feed the fish. we couldn't get her to leave. . .

{on our way to the Gulfarium}

{she spotted the scuba diving lady}

{she also mad a friend, who loved the lady just as much as she did!}

{wondering what she is doing.}

{love it!}
so, if you don't already know this i'll let you in on a little secret. . .Blakely isn't a fan of the beach(i know, it's almost like a crime!). she doesn't like to get dirty and according to her, she is "dirty" as soon as her little feet hit the sand. so, we thought if we went out to the beach with her cousins(Alexa, Sean Paul, and Abby), that maybe she would be a little more interested in the beach, if they showed her it was ok. it WORKED! kinda. . .she was hesitant at first, but came around in no time! now we just have to work on getting in the water with out thinking she is sinking. she doesn't really like the feel off the wet sand under her feet. but i must admit she was a trooper.

{yaya's turn to blow bubbles! those bubbles where a great little trick!}
