Tea Party Hats DIY

I got this idea from Family Fun and just changed up a few things to make them a little more eaiser for younger kids.

You need:
Wrapping Paper 30x30 for each hat(I found double sided wrapping paper at Hallmark)
Colored Tape(duck tape makes all sorts of colors)
Hot Glue Gun
Fuax Flowers

That simple!

Start by putting a sheet of wrapping paper around the childs head and put the duck tape around the largest part of their head.

Once the tape is securied around their heads, cut the wrapping paper in a circle leaving 5 inches around the rim of the hat.

Turn up the front of the hat(showing the other side of the paper) add a spot of glue to keep it back, next glue the flowers(that each little girl got to choose) to the front of the rim.

And Voila! You have the perfect Tea Party Hats! Blakely is not a fan of hats, so she did not get to enjoy this craft! Silly girl.

Happy 3rd Birthday Blakely

Singing Happy Birthday...

Getting Shy while we all sing and picking her lip(her new strange habit)...

Blowing out the candles...

Enjoying her Ice Cream cake(I did not make this cake, it was happily made by the D-Q).

Tea Party Decor

Well the party came together, better than I imaged. I didn't get to do everything I had planned too, but what can I say for a last minute change in plans.

Table setting, each guest was presented with a little clutch filled with white gloves, pearl necklaces, butterfly hair clips, and lip gloss.

Each Tea Cup was adorned with silver spoons that had a miniature tea pot on the top. And ofcourse, had to have some pastel treats!

Food: Fruit Tarts and Turkey and Cheese sandwiches.

Food: Cheesy Biscuits and Friendship Muffins

More photos of the party to come. We made Tea Hats as a party craft!

Too Long...

Lots to catch up on.

Let me start by saying, "HELLO ALL!" and "Yep, I'm still here!"
When Ben left, he took our laptop! Which was technically is my laptop, since it has all my info, my pictures, my blog stuff, my everything, I felt a little lost without it! I thought since we had a desktop still, that I would be able to make it through the deployment without one. Well, I was wrong. It was almost painful for me to sit at that damn desk. I don't know what it is about sitting in front of a computer that drove me crazy, but it did! So, I whined enough to hubby, and he got me my own net book! This little guy is so cute! It is all white with 10' screen! Perfect or me! I honestly did not get on the computer(unless we were Skpying with Daddy) or I had to pay a bill! I did not do anything for a month besides those two things if it did not directly involve my cellphone(I love my BB)! Ok, long story, short, I'm back and hope to be blogging more.

Pregnancy Update:
-I'm 14 weeks(technically tomorrow).
-I have been feeling better, but still have moments of nausea. It kinda comes and goes.
-I have lost 4lbs since my last appt.
-Baby's heart rate is 150. (my Doctor says it's a girl)
-I could sleep all day and everyday, if Blakely would let me. I am usually in bed by 8p.m. and usually asleep by 9 or 9:30.
-No cravings, yet!
-No maternity clothes, yet.
-My belly is starting to stick out, just a smidge.

Blakely's 3rd Birthday(this was what I was imaging)

A Tea Party, fit for a princess and a few of her friends.

Well, let's just say all my plans have not come together as I had imaged or hoped for. We got a surprise visit from Daddy last week(can't say much more, but he will be headed back) and since he is home we are moving up Blakely's party and putting it together this weekend. I had plans(this week) to go into the city to find a few things(ok a lot of things) I needed. I honestly had hoped to put together a small party, nothing big, and with Daddy's surprise appearance, it's now in the works! Thanks Daddy!

We shall see how it all turns out. Wish me luck!
